Calcium can balance the physiological function of the fruit tree when it is growing. In the orchard that has too much seeper and too little organic substance, and the soil is too acidic, the virtual content of calcium tends to be low. The growth, development, bloom and fruit bearing of the fruit trees will be affected.

The main symptom of the calciprivus fruit trees: When the plant is about 20cm high, the tender leaves on the top will curl like a hook. Several days later, the leaves will turn into brown yellow and wither. This will gradually spread to the lower leaves. When the symptom is severe, the full new shoot will wither away. The leaves are usually smaller than normal leaves. The growth of roots is restrained. The new roots are short, thick and curled. The tip of the roots usually has brown stain and withers off. If the fruit is calciprivus, the flesh cells are not protected by calcium. Fruit dropping will widely occur before the fruits are picked. There will be many fruit diseases such as sunscald, dehiscent fruit and rotten fruit. And the fruits are not endurable to storage and transportation.

How to supply calcium: calcium chloride and calcium nitrate are common lime fertilizers for fruit trees, usually sprayed to the leaves. The density is 0.3%-0.5%. There will be two fastigiums for the fruit trees absorbing calcium in one year. The first is one month after the flower withers, and the second is one month before the fruit is picked. The effect is the best to spray in the two fastigiums. Besides, its good to fertilize the soil or apply certain amount of lime and increase the acidity of the soil. The trees will absorb and utilize calcium better.
